B. Dosage Form Vitamin And/Or Mineral Products Exempt From The
Labeling And Storage Requirements:
Some products in this category may be labeled and marketed as prescrip-
tion or OTC, and may have species other than cattle on the label. They
are exempt from the labeling and storage requirements. They must be
stored in such a manner that they will not contaminate the milk or milk
product surfaces of containers or utensils. The following is a list of
products that are commonly used and stored on farms:
Calcium products; injectable or oral use
Calcium and dextrose products
Calcium in combination with other minerals such as magnesium,
potassium, and/or phosphorus
Dextrose alone or in combination with other minerals
Lactated Ringers
Sodium Chloride
Sterile Water
Potassium Chloride alone or in combination with other minerals or
dextrose
Electrolytes for oral or injectable use
Vitamin A and D
Vitamin E and Selenium combinations
Vitamin E alone
Selenium compounds for oral use
Vitamin B Complex
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)
Vitamin C, and Vitamin K
Choline
Pantothenic Acid
Folacin (Folic Acid, Pteroylglutamic Acid)
Copper containing compounds for injection or oral use
Iron containing compounds for injection or oral use
Propylene Glycol
Bicarbonate; injectable and oral formulations
