BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES-Illustrations
I. ATMOSPHERIC TYPE - Must be installed downstream from the last shut-
off valve. Also must be installed 6 inches higher
than what it is trying to protect. This device
protects against back-siphonage back-flow only.
It does not afford protection against back-
pressure back-flow. This device is not allowed in
constant pressure applications.
