
The 2025 Winter One Health Conference for Future Global Health, scheduled for February 3 -14, 2025, is an on-site at the University of California, Davis.
The conference is hosted by the WIFSS of UCD, a distinguished member of the Global One Health Research Partnership (GOHRP). Joining WIFSS as co-hosts are the other esteemed members of GOHRP, including Nanjing Agricultural University in China, Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands, and Massey University of New Zealand.
In-depth Educational Experience
This is an in-depth educational experience for undergraduate and graduate students to learn about the importance of applying a One Health approach to solving specific, complex problems that arise at the interface of people, animals, and the environment. The conference raises awareness of the concept of One Health by instilling confidence to build multidisciplinary teams to solve problems and it inspires participants to take action to address complex problems that arise at the interface of animals, humans, and the environment.
Working Together – Building Friendships
In addition to lectures, participants will take part in team building exercises led by experienced subject matter experts and graduate students from UC Davis. Students will have the chance to work together on team-building activities and build friendships through problem-based learning projects. Students form lasting friendships through team experiences that provide lifelong support through graduate programs, careers, and innovative research.
Long History and Bright Future
WIFSS is the original creator of One Health educational conferences covering the areas of food systems and animal health spanning nine years with more than 1,000 faculty members,undergraduate and graduate students in attendance. They represent multiple disciplines including veterinary, agricultural science, engineering, and nutrition, from 21 different universities in China and Southeast Asia.
WIFSS One Health conferences introduce undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of disciplines who may want to be involved in addressing the multidisciplinary fields it takes to work together to solve complex problems global health issues.
